We believe in one God, Creator of all, holy, sovereign, eternal, existing in three equal Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God the Father, the first Person of the Trinity, orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace. His fatherhood involves both His designation within the Trinity and His relationship with mankind. As Creator, He is Father to all men, but He is spiritual Father only to believers. He adopts as his own all those who come to Him; and He becomes, upon adoption, Father to His own.
Jesus Christ is God the Son, having eternally existed with the Father and Holy Spirit in pre-incarnate glory, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born to a virgin. He lived a sinless human life, teaching and doing divine miracles for our sake. After his death and resurrection, he ascended into heaven and continues to advocate for us until he returns in power and glory.
The Holy Spirit lives in every person who has faith in Jesus Christ, powerfully enabling them to live a life pleasing to God, to tell others about Jesus Christ, and to be his “hands and feet” at work in this world.
The Holy Scriptures, including both the Old and New Testaments, as originally given by God, are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe man was created in innocence under the law of his Maker, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless and happy state. Consequently, all mankind is sinful. All people are sinners not only by inheritance, but by their own choice and therefore are under just condemnation without defense or excuse. We believe that, without exception, every man and woman is totally depraved and needs a Saviour.
We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice. We believe that all who, by faith, receive Him as their personal Saviour, are justified on the basis of His blood shed on Calvary. They are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become as children of God.
Upon accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour, all believers become part of His body, the church. The Church is a company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body; its mission is to witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel among all nations. Its members are to work together in love and unity, intent on the one ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
All people will be resurrected; those who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ to eternal life with God, and those who have rejected him to eternal separation from God.
