Matt and Emily met on a mission trip to West Africa more than a decade ago. During that time, the Lord began shaping in them a desire to serve Him full-time on the mission field and invest their lives in the spread of the Gospel. After years of prayer and seeking God’s guidance, they are excited and humbled to follow His call to Davao City, Philippines.

Matt will serve as a teacher at Faith International Academy, a Christian school that provides quality education and spiritual care for the children of missionary families and local families seeking Christ-centered education. Located in Davao City, FIA plays an important role in supporting missionary work throughout the region by providing students with a stable, Christ-centered educational environment. Healthy missionary families often depend on stable educational environments for their children, making schools like FIA an important part of sustaining long-term ministry in the region. Through teaching and discipling students, Matt contributes to strengthening missionary families and investing in the spiritual formation of the next generation.

Emily will focus on caring for their family and supporting their ministry in Davao. When opportunities allow, she also hopes to volunteer with Mercy Maternity Center, a local ministry serving mothers and infants in the surrounding community.
