For the next 2.5 years, I will be serving as a midwife apprentice at Mercy Maternity Center in Davao City, Philippines. There, I’ll work and learn alongside experienced midwives, take online midwifery classes, fully immerse myself in the culture, learn the language, and serve the women and families who come to the clinic.

Mercy Maternity Center serves low-income families in Davao City. Its mission is to invest in women’s lives through compassionate care and to share the love of Christ.

The skills I gain will be vitally important to women around the world. Once I complete my training, I plan to use these skills to glorify Christ wherever he calls me next.
