Strengthening the Church Through Microloans and Mentorship

Not every ministry grows fast — but some grow well. In Belize, a decade of microloans paired with spiritual mentoring has strengthened local churches through trust, dignity, and discipleship.

For more than a decade, Kingdom Resources, a Belizean-registered ministry, has been quietly investing in local believers through a model that combines microloans, entrepreneurship, and regular spiritual mentoring. This long-term work has built credibility, trust, and genuine gospel fruit within churches and communities.

A Partnership Rooted in Longevity

The microloan ministry was shaped and sustained through the vision and generosity of Dave Brubacher, who believed deeply in strengthening the church from within rather than relying on ongoing outside aid. His commitment laid the foundation for a system where loans are issued, repaid, and recirculated—allowing the same resources to serve many families over time.

Today, that work continues through the faithful service of Dennis Lannert and Robin Lannert, who walk closely with church members participating in the program. The ministry’s vision is clear and consistent: empowering local leaders and church members to grow in both practical capacity and spiritual maturity.

Why This Model Endures

In many Mayan communities, economic pressure quietly undermines ministry. Families live month-to-month, leaders are stretched thin, and churches struggle to sustain momentum. The microloan model addresses this reality without distorting the gospel.

Small loans allow believers to start or strengthen modest businesses. Entrepreneurship provides dignity and stability. Regular spiritual mentoring ensures that financial progress remains connected to discipleship, prayer, accountability, and growth in Christ.

This combination has proven effective not because it is novel, but because it is relational, patient, and grounded in trust. Over time, loans are repaid. Relationships deepen. Churches grow stronger—not quickly, but credibly.

Relationships That Bear Fruit

Dennis and Robin Lannert regularly speak with gratitude about the relationships that have grown through this ministry. What often begins as a simple business conversation becomes an opportunity for prayer, encouragement, and spiritual dialogue. Businesses become bridges. Trust opens doors. Faith is strengthened.

The fruit is not measured only in economic terms, but in perseverance, restored dignity, and growing confidence among believers serving in their own churches and communities.

A Credible, Sustainable Witness

This microloan ministry in Belize is not flashy. It is not fast. But it is credible.

It represents the slow, faithful work of discipleship lived out through everyday life—where entrepreneurship serves the church, mentoring shapes character, and the gospel takes root over time.

We are grateful for the Lannerts, for Dave Brubacher’s enduring vision, and for the opportunity to stand alongside this ministry as God continues to strengthen the Mayan church in Belize.
